SUPPORT WORK & NDIS MENTORING
helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person
Support Work | NDIS Mentoring
I am a caring, hard-working member of the community with a deep passion for helping others and creating positive change for individuals and their families. My experience includes mental health support, community advocacy, and program development, and I am dedicated to supporting people in ways that empower them and enhance their well-being.
In my spare time, I am actively involved in suicide prevention initiatives, working closely with local charities and grassroots organisations. Through my professional work, volunteer efforts, and lived experience, I have gained extensive experience supporting individuals with complex mental illnesses, Autism, ADHD, and physical limitations.
I take a personalised and compassionate approach, working at a pace that suits my clients' needs, with a focus on their everyday challenges, short-term needs, and long-term goals. My aim is to support social and economic independence, helping individuals feel more connected and capable in their daily lives.
What is NDIS Mentoring?
NDIS mentoring is a capacity-building support designed to help participants develop practical and emotional skills to live more independently and achieve their goals. This might include building confidence in social settings, navigating education or employment pathways or working through day-to-day challenges with consistency and support. Unlike task-based support, mentoring is about learning through doing, with support. I don’t step in to take over. I walk alongside you, offering encouragement, reflection, and accountability.
