WELCOME

My name is Fiona, and I am an Artist, Mental Health Support Worker and Mental Health Advocate.

I am currently working to incorporate my creative side with my passion for health and well-being. My hope is for others to rediscover their own creativity, interests and hobbies to find inner peace in a supportive community setting.

I am very driven to create change on a system level as well as on an individual level. Society has come a long way in recognising and understanding mental health but there is still much stigma and gaps within local communities, as well as shame for individuals to seek help when they are in a crisis. Let's work together to help others feel supported and less alone in this world.

ART BY FIONA LEEANN

In 2018 I discovered painting landscape art was my passion.

Being in nature has been incredibly healing for me in recent years and I love sharing these feelings through my work. I love to paint trees, skies, and beaches of locations I have visited.  Watching the seasons change and our environment evolve; the sea’s changing form throughout the day, trees changing shapes over a lifetime, grass and leaves changing colours with the seasons, how the sky can be dull and lifeless one day then bright and spectacular the next.

I started painting for myself and found there was something very healing and empowering about being lost in what I was creating.

SUPPORT WORK

I am an independent support worker that works with participants on the NDIS with psychosocial disabilities.

I am passionate about assisting clients in their homes and in the community to live more independently and reach their own potential by providing physical and emotional support. I understand that everyday tasks can be overwhelming and challenging for my clients who

have mental health conditions, neurodevelopmental disorders, and physical disabilities.

I have experience in the following areas:

Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Schizophrenia, Substance Abuse & Addiction,  Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD),  Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

I aim to work slowly with my clients, with a focus on their everyday needs, short-term and long-term goals. Working together to increase social and economic independence and ensuring my clients are getting the most from their NDIS funding while assisting with the coordination of supports.

'Fiona is such a great person easygoing so helpful and reliable. I don't know what I would have done without her help, fantastic'
